DARE

D.A.R.E. stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education and, this year, P.C. Clarke and P.C. Lennon have been the D.A.R.E. teachers for Year 5. The 17-lesson course helps the children learn about the problems to do with drugs, alcohol, solvents and tobacco. It also teaches them to stand up for themselves when others might encourage them to do things or try things they do not want to.

All our Year 5 children passed the course and, at the graduation ceremony, the children acted out some little scenes, recited a poem and sang two songs to a large audience of parents, grand parents, brothers and sisters. All the children received a certificate and a D.A.R.E. T-shirt.
