Mrs. Harrison retires

Mrs. Harrison, head teacher at our school for the last five years, retired at the end of the Summer Term 2007.

Her retirement was marked by a party for current and former colleagues from Westdale and the Wheldon family of schools at which presentations were made during an entertaining speech by Mr. Bannister. There was a buffet, including a chocolate fountain and a special cake.

On the last day of term there was an assembly to say "farewell" to her and make presentations from the children.

Our new head teacher will be Mrs. Hayles. She "officially" became head teacher on 1st September.

Mr. Bannister, our deputy head teacher has also left Westdale. He is now head teacher of a primary school in Leicestershire and we all wish him well in his new school.
