Safety Zone
All of our year six pupils went to Stoke Bardolph just before Easter for a visit to the Safety Zone
which involved everybody participating in a range of activities such as:
- a talk with a fireman;
- a pretend robbery;
- learning the recovery position;
- Trading Standards activity;
- road safety;
- learning about the dangers of electicity pylons and sub-stations;
and much, much more!
One of the highlights of the day was when the firemen deliberately caused a chip-pan fire and showed us what happened if someone tried to put this kind of fire out by putting water on it.
It was very frightening!
By the end of the trip everyone was exhausted but glad that they had gone.
