Super science
This week in science the children have been looking at how some changes to materials are irreversible and that new materials can be formed.
We carried out an experiment using bicarbonate of soda, vinegar and a plastic glove. When the bicarbonate of soda mixed with the vinegar, there was a chemical reaction which produced a new material - carbon dioxide. The gas expanded and inflated the glove. The children loved seeing this reaction happen right in front of their eyes!
