Year 5 Perlethorpe Trip

A little reminder! (Year 5 - 25/04/2024)

Next Monday (29th April), Year 5 have their day trip to Notts Outdoor Education and Environment Centre in Perlethorpe. Here are a few key reminders about the day:

• The children will travel by coach, leaving school at 9.00am and returning at approximately 3pm.
• We previously asked children to wear school uniform, however following our site visit and the recent weather we would like all children to wear their own comfortable, warm play clothes. (Long sleeves and trousers, no jeans). We will be outside for most of the day so wrap up warm!
• They will need a packed lunch (no glass bottles please). If your child is already entitled to free school meals then a packed lunch will be provided.
• The children must bring a spare set of clothes – socks, trousers and tops (this will only be used if they get wet during the activities)
• They will also need to bring a pair of wellies. The centre does have some spare but not enough for a full class. If your child does not have wellies at home, please let their class teacher know.
• If your child suffers from travel sickness and takes medication, please fill in a medication form which can be found in the school foyer and on the school website. This form, along with medication, needs to be brought into school on the day of the trip.
